Welcome to the website of photographer Matt Cardy. I am an editorial freelance photographer based in the south west of England, United Kingdom. I have been a freelance photographer since 2001 and I now work for a variety of national and regional newspapers and I am a regular stringer for Getty Images.

I started my career in 1998 at the Bath Chronicle where I did my NCTJ training, before working for as a regular freelancer at the Western Daily Press.

My pictures have been on the front of numerous national newspapers and on the inside pages of every other. As well as regular editorial clients, I  also undertake commissions for PR and corporate customers.
